Was Daryl Van Horne the DEVIL?

Okay, watched 'The Witches of Eastwick' with the crew last night and OMG Nicholson is just...Nicholson, am I right? But seriously, I have a theory. I think Daryl Van Horne WAS the devil, or at least, like, a REALLY high ranking demon, cosplaying as a rich weirdo. Hear me out! First of all, the dude literally APPEARS in Eastwick. No one knows anything about him before that, but he just shows up and starts buying up property. Also, he knows EXACTLY what each of the women (Alex, Jane, and Sukie) secretly desires. And suddenly, they're all getting it. Too convenient, no? Remember the cherry pits scene? That whole sequence felt... supernatural. Like, beyond just Daryl-being-a-jerk. My spidey-senses were tingling! And then there's Felicia Alden. She's the town busybody who's super against Daryl. Then he manipulates her with subliminal messages and, BAM, she 'accidentally' chokes on a cherry pit and goes crazy. That feels less like standard manipulation and more like... well, demonic intervention. The way Daryl seems to encourage her demise is just too calculated. I mean, even for a character that's supposed to be pure chaos. IDK it all feels a bit too easy and almost destiny-driven. So yeah, my theory is that Daryl was a supernatural being using the women's untapped powers to wreak havoc and I think he was going to corrupt them into some sort of evil witches coven. Am I crazy? Or do you guys see it too?
