Innerspace - SO underrated, am I right?

Okay, so I just rewatched Innerspace for like, the millionth time, and I'm convinced it's one of the most fun movies EVER. Seriously, why don't more people talk about this?! It's got Dennis Quaid being all charming and goofy, Martin Short at peak neurotic, and a ridiculously silly sci-fi premise that somehow totally works. I mean, a guy gets shrunk down and injected into… Martin Short?! Come on! What I really want to know is, does anyone else think Meg Ryan is kind of wasted in this movie? Like, she's great as always, but her role feels kinda... there? I think she could have had more to do. Also, the bad guys are cartoonishly evil, but I kinda love it? Especially the one with the eye thing, Mr. Igoe. CREEPY. But the scene that always gets me is when Jack starts acting like Tuck in the store and starts flirting with the girl! Martin Short's impression of Dennis Quaid is hilarious, and the whole situation is just comedy gold. Does anyone else think that whole sequence is absolute genius? Or am I just easily amused? Anyway, I just wanted to shout out this gem. If you haven't seen Innerspace, do yourself a favor and check it out. You won't regret it (unless you hate fun, I guess?).
