Devil's Castle Princess: Underrated Gem or Just Nostalgia Goggles?

Alright, fellow Z Warriors! moviebuff_marc here, popping in to talk about a flick that doesn't get enough love in the DBZ universe: "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle" from '87. Now, I know it's not canon, and the animation's a far cry from Super, but hear me out. This movie hits me RIGHT in the childhood. Think about it: Goku and Krillin's first real test to get trained by Roshi! The whole setup with Lucifer (not that one, obviously) and his freaky castle is straight outta some cheesy-but-awesome 80s horror flick. Anyone else getting a "Evil Dead" vibe from some of that design of the castle and the monsters? And the princess herself... she was kinda throwaway, but still, added to the quest element, you know? But seriously though, that fight with Guillame (the vampire dude) and the whole robotic army thing? It felt way more creative than some of the later movie villains to me. Did anyone else think it was a cool twist that Lucifer wanted to use the sun to... power his evil devices so he didn't have to rely on people's lifeforce to do so? Anyway, I guess my question is: am I just seeing this through rose-tinted glasses, or does "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle" hold up as a genuinely entertaining Dragon Ball adventure? Lemme know your thoughts!
