Okay, So I Just Watched "Who's That Girl"?! Madonna...Wow.

Alright, so I decided to dive into the 80s and picked "Who's That Girl," mostly 'cause I recognized the name Madonna and figured it was a classic I should finally check off my list. Honestly? I went in expecting something kinda serious maybe? But man, it was way more goofy than I thought it would be. Like, a full-on screwball comedy thing. Jeffrey, the lawyer dude (Griffin Dunne), is SO uptight, it's almost painful. And then Madonna shows up, this total whirlwind energy, and throws his whole life into chaos. I will say, Madonna is kinda mesmerizing in this. Like, her presence is INSANE. I wasn't even alive for her peak, but I get it now. She's got this crazy charm and it's hard to look away. The plot itself is kinda...out there. Something about a stolen kitty statue and accidentally robbing a bank? I got a little lost, not gonna lie. The whole bit with the puma was just...wow. I wasn't expecting a freakin' puma! There's this one scene where they're trying to hide in a hotel room and Jeffrey is just losing his mind while she's dancing around and singing. That pretty much sums up the whole movie. It's pure 80s zaniness. It's definitely a product of it's time, and not like, the best movie ever made, but entertaining, for sure. Overall, would I recommend it? Maybe? If you are in the mood for some pure 80s silliness and want to see Madonna just being Madonna, then definitely give it a watch. Just don't go in expecting some deep arthouse flick! It was fun, but I don't think I will rewatch it any time soon.
