Saint Seiya & Eris: Underrated Score Gem?

Alright, fellow soundtrack junkies, let's talk Saint Seiya: Evil Goddess Eris (1987). I know, I know, it's an early Saint Seiya film, and the animation is...dated. But seriously, has anyone else REALLY listened to the score? It's by Seiji Yokoyama, who basically is the sound of classic Saint Seiya, and this one's got some serious bangers. Like, the main theme that hits during the fight scenes? So much heroic grandeur! Specifically, I'm thinking of the scene where Hyoga is fighting one of Eris's Ghost Saints. The music during that fight is just so hype. It really elevates the whole thing, even if the animation is...well, you know. There's just something about those soaring strings combined with the percussion that just screams '80s anime awesome. And even during the quieter moments, with Eri and Hyoga at the orphanage, Yokoyama sprinkles in these really delicate piano melodies that perfectly capture the bittersweet feeling. It's not all bombast, you know? I think the score is almost better than the movie itself, lol. Anyone else feel the same? Maybe I'm just overly nostalgic, but this is one soundtrack that I always find myself coming back to. I'm really curious to hear what your favorite tracks are, or if you think I'm crazy for liking this one so much!
