Die Hard: Okay, but is it really a Christmas movie?

Okay, so last night we watched Die Hard with the crew (yes, AGAIN, someone's obsessed lol). I still maintain it's a great action movie, but... is it really a Christmas movie? I mean, yeah, it's set at Christmas, but it's mostly about blowing stuff up and Alan Rickman being the most sophisticated villain ever. I feel like the Christmas setting is kinda just... there? Like, it could have been any random holiday party and the plot would mostly be the same. Don't get me wrong, I love it. McClane crawling through air ducts is iconic, and the whole "Yippee-ki-yay" thing never gets old. Plus, Reginald VelJohnson is amazing! But are we just calling it a Christmas movie because it has a tree and some snow? I'm conflicted! I also think the whole situation is his wife's fault for moving to California and making him fly all the way to visit and get stuck in a terrorist situation. So, hit me with your thoughts! Is Die Hard a legit Christmas staple, or just a really awesome action flick that happens to take place in December? And, also, what's your favorite one-liner from the whole movie?!
