Okay, Moonwalker is WAY weirder than I remember...but still kinda amazing?

So, I just rewatched Moonwalker. Again. I swear, every time I see it, something new pops out. This time it's how utterly BONKERS some of it is. Like, I always remembered the 'Smooth Criminal' segment being iconic (and it IS!), but the whole 'Michael saves the kids from Mr. Big' storyline feels...off. Joe Pesci is terrifyingly great as Mr. Big, but those kids are honestly kinda annoying, lol. I appreciate the anti-drug message, but the whole thing is just so over-the-top. I still adore the 'Speed Demon' claymation bit. It's so creative and captures that playful energy Michael had perfectly. And 'Leave Me Alone' - the special effects were surprisingly good for the time, and the commentary on media attention is still relevant, unfortunately. Lola, though... I still don't get her motivation. She's cute, but mostly just...there. Does anyone else think she's kinda bland? The ending with 'Man in the Mirror' always gets me, though. Corny? Maybe. But it's just so positive and uplifting, it's hard not to be moved, even after seeing it a million times. Honestly, 'Moonwalker' is like a fever dream that somehow manages to be both incredibly dated and timelessly entertaining. It's definitely a product of its time, but it's a fascinating glimpse into Michael Jackson's creative mind. Anyway just my two cents, what's your favorite part? And am I the only one who thinks the kids need to chill out a bit? :P
