Tin Toy: My Dark Theory About Billy...

Okay, so, "Tin Toy." We all know it. The little wind-up toy scared outta his metal shell by...Billy. But hear me out, because I've been rewatching this (for like, the 50th time, don't judge) and I think there's something seriously off about that baby. Like, 'I see dead people' off. Think about it. Billy's expressions? Vacant. The way he just mauls everything? No normal baby does that, right? And the way the other toys seemingly vanish into thin air? Like, where ARE they? "Gone. Reduced to atoms," as someone once said. My theory? Billy is a tiny, drooling, toy-destroying black hole of existential dread. He doesn't play with toys, he consumes them. Their joy, their purpose...gone. Swallowed by THE VOID. And Tinny? Tinny sees it. That's why he's so terrified! It's not just a baby being a baby. It's a glimpse into the abyss. Then, the lightbulb moment? When he sees the other toy crying and Billy stops? The theory is that Billy isn't a demon child, but he craves affection and attention like any lonely human being. He just doesn't know how to communicate it. I know, I know, it's probably way too deep for a short about toys. But I can't shake the feeling that there's something unsettling lurking beneath the surface. Maybe I just need some sleep. Or maybe Billy IS secretly Cthulhu's son? Let me know your thoughts--or if you think I'm totally 'wrong, wrong, wrong!' about this one.
