Fright Night Part 2: Is Regine Actually...Psychic?

Okay, so I know Fright Night Part 2 gets a lot of hate. I actually kinda dig it, cheesy 80s effects and all. One thing that always bothered me though: Regine. Like, sure, she's a vampire. But her whole vibe is just off in a way that's different from Jerry. Jerry was seductive, charming...very old Hollywood creep. Regine is...something else. I've been rewatching it lately, thinking about the director (does anyone know why Tommy Lee Wallace bailed? Seriously, the drop in directorial style is HUGE), and I had this random thought: what if Regine's got more going on than just being a bloodsucker? Specifically, psychic abilities? Hear me out. She anticipates Charley's moves with creepy accuracy. Think about the scene in the art gallery. She doesn't just know he's there, she seems to know EXACTLY where he's going and what he's thinking. And that weird, almost detached way she talks...it's like she's processing more information than she should be. Maybe it's not psychic per se, but some kind of heightened awareness related to her vampirism? It could explain why she seems so confident and always one step ahead. I'm not sure it was intentional by the filmmakers, given how campy it all is (that bat transformation, yikes!), but it's an interesting way to retroactively add a bit more depth to a villain who is otherwise pretty forgettable compared to Chris Sarandon's Jerry. What do you guys think? Am I reaching for the stars here, or does this track for anyone else?
