"Compagni di scuola" - Anyone Else Feel Depressed After Watching This?
Okay, so I just finished watching "Compagni di scuola" (spoilers ahead, maybe?) and while it was definitely entertaining in a trainwreck kinda way, I'm also feeling super bummed out? Like, is this what happens when you get older? Everyone just becomes...awful? I mean, seriously, the reunion was a DISASTER. Nobody was happy, everyone was cheating or lying or just being generally miserable. The whole Marco-Laura-Valeria love triangle (or square, or whatever it became) was just painful to watch. And what was up with that super awkward scene at the hotel? I actually had to pause it for a sec because it was so cringey, haha. But like, in the best way? Okay, maybe not the best way but you know what I mean! I guess my question is, did anyone else feel this way after watching it? Is this movie supposed to be a comedy because I honestly felt like I needed therapy after! It was kinda funny but really dark. I’m just trying to work out if there were any redeeming qualities in any of the characters at all, or if getting old really is just a sad and messy business. I feel like I need to go watch a rom-com now to cleanse my palate. Tell me I’m not alone in this feeling!
