Ghostbusters II: Slimer's Back...and I'm Here For It!

Okay, so we just finished watching Ghostbusters II, and I have THOUGHTS. First of all, I know it's not quite as beloved as the original, but honestly, I still have a major soft spot for it. Maybe it's the nostalgia talking (I was a kid when it came out), but there's just something so charming about it. I think the courtroom scene is absolutely ICONIC. Peter Venkman being a total smartass? Yes, please. And the whole slime thing, while maybe a little goofy, is also pretty hilarious. I especially loved the scene where they're using the slime to make the Statue of Liberty walk! Like, come on, that's just pure 80s movie magic. Plus, Slimer's back and arguably even cuter? The scene of him eating food that was meant for the ghost, was pretty adorable ngl. I will admit, Vigo the Carpathian is a bit of a weak villain compared to Gozer. He's kinda just...there. But honestly, I don't even care that much. The chemistry between the original Ghostbusters is still SO good, and that's what really makes the movie for me. Also, Janine's got a new look! I never noticed how much she changed in this movie. The character development wasn't bad. Overall, Ghostbusters II is a fun, silly, and totally enjoyable sequel. It's not perfect, but it's a great reminder of why I loved the original so much. What did you guys think? Any scenes that always crack you up?
