Tango & Cash: Still holds up, change my mind!

Okay, so I just rewatched Tango & Cash FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME (lol), and I gotta say, it's still so good! I know it's cheesy 80s action, but there's something so charming about it. Like, the sheer ridiculousness of the plot – a drug lord framing two rival cops, come ON! But Stallone and Russell totally sell it. Their chemistry is surprisingly amazing, even though their characters are supposed to hate each other. I always notice new little things, too. This time, I was really paying attention to Teri Hatcher's character, Katherine 'Kiki' Tango. She's so much more than just a damsel in distress, y'know? She's smart and resourceful, especially considering the situation she's in. I'm lowkey obsessed with the scene where she's trying to help them escape from the prison. That whole prison break sequence is so over-the-top but in the best way possible! And the RV they build? Genius! Well, maybe not genius, but definitely entertaining. One thing I always wonder about is the director. They're credited as 'Directed by Andrei Konchalovsky' but apparently, he was fired and someone else finished it? No one really owns up to it. Whoever it was, they deserve credit for giving us this gem. I actually read that Sly Stallone himself helped co-direct, if that rumor is true. Anyways, yeah, Tango & Cash is a classic in my book. Fight me. What are your favorite moments? Is it just me, or does anyone else think Kurt Russell's mullet deserves its own Oscar? 😂 (I'm kidding... mostly)
