Halloween 5...Jamie, sweetie, NOOOO!

Okay, so I just finished watching Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, and I need to process. Like, right now. This one...this one just HURT, you guys. Jamie, man. Jamie Lloyd is probably my favorite character in the entire franchise, she's an innocent kid who just wants to feel safe, and this movie just keeps throwing her into the wringer! I actually screamed at the TV when she had that psychic connection with Michael in the attic, feeling his pain and rage. It was intense, and I was just praying they wouldn't traumatize her more. And then, ugh, the ending. I know a lot of ppl dislike this movie, but the scene where Jamie tries to get through to Michael by showing him the picture of her... My heart just shattered. For a split second, you see something in his eyes. Is it humanity? Is it regret? Whatever it is, it's gone in a flash. And then, the attic scene with the Man In Black!? What was that even about? I am so confused about what that reveal was supposed to mean. I honestly don't know whether to be intrigued or just plain annoyed. I know the Thorn storyline gets a lot of hate, and I'm not gonna lie, it's kinda bonkers. But dammit, Danielle Harris gave a performance that made me care so deeply about Jamie. This movie frickin' HURT. And those clowns in the cop car, what was going on there, hahaha! Who thought that was a good idea during such a serious set piece. Don't even get me started on the laundry chute scene. So, what did you guys think of Halloween 5? Was it too much? Did the psychic link work for you? And can someone explain the Man In Black thing without spoiling the rest of the series?? Because I am genuinely lost but also, kinda invested now, lol.
