Okay, Let's Talk Jason Takes Manhattan (LOL)

Alright horror hounds, jessmovienerd here with a burning question about Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. Okay, first, can we all agree that the title is HIGHLY misleading? Like, he's barely in Manhattan! More like, "Jason Takes a Boat and Docks Briefly in Manhattan." Seriously though, the whole boat sequence is pretty fun in that gloriously cheesy, late-80s kind of way. I'm still trying to figure out how he stowed away...did he just like, chill in the engine room with all the grease and noise? And that boxing scene? Hilarious! But then they actually get to NYC and it feels…rushed? Like they spent all the budget on the boat and were like, "Okay, quick, let's film some stuff in an alley and call it a day!" So, my question is this: What scene in Jason Takes Manhattan do you think had the MOST potential to be truly awesome but totally fell flat? For me, it's gotta be the toxic waste scene. Like, come ON! A mutated Jason could have been terrifying! Instead, he just turns back into a kid for a sec? Total missed opportunity. What are your thoughts? Let's discuss!
