Help Me Brundle-Fly II, You're My Only Hope (Theory Alert!)

Okay, hear me out, flies. I know The Fly II catches a lot of flack but it's got some underappreciated layers. Remember that weird little beagle they were experimenting on at Bartok Inc? The one that disappeared after they tested the teleporter? I think that beagle is KEY to understanding Martin Brundle's accelerated transformation. Like, 'where's the beef,' right? They never explain exactly WHY his fly side kicks in so damn fast. My theory? Bartok needed a faster transformation. They saw Goldblum's descent in the original, knew it was too slow to exploit so they must've experimented and tweaked the teleporter 'formula'. The beagle was probably step one, to see if they could speed up the process itself. Fast forward to Martin. He's basically 'groomed' by Bartok, right? Watched like a hawk. Now here's where things get spicy: What if they subtly exposed him to whatever they did to the beagle? Some kind of radiation, or a modified 'teleportation' pulse, specifically designed to trigger his fly DNA? Like pushing a button. It explains why he goes from 'awkward science nerd' to 'full-on Cronenberg monster' in what feels like, what, a week? If they didn't have the beagle transformation on record I'd be convinced they were just winging it. And it explains the ending too! The whole 'forced mating' thing? Twisted, I know. But it's all about control. Bartok wanted to weaponize the Brundle-Fly, not just study it. They needed to control the lineage, and the only way to do that was to lock Martin down and force him to reproduce. It ain't pretty, but it makes sense within the context of the Bartok Corporation's evil mad scientist agenda. 'Be afraid. Be very afraid.' is def relevant. Maybe I'm reaching, but there's something about that missing beagle that just doesn't sit right with me. It's a loose thread begging to be pulled. What do you guys think? Am I flyin' too close to the sun here? Or is there something worth exploring?
