Okay, 'Puppet Master' is WAY weirder than I expected...!

So I finally got around to watching 'Puppet Master' (1989) and...wow. Just wow. I went in expecting some cheesy horror fun, and I definitely got the cheesy part right, but the horror was like...strangely unsettling? I didn't expect to be even a little creeped out by puppets, but Blade's little knife hands actually worked! Like, the scene where he's just silently lurking in the background while the psychic is having his bath? Shivers! Some parts were a little slow, I won't lie. All the psychic mumbo jumbo got kinda boring after a while, and I honestly didn't care much about any of them except maybe Dana. She seemed the most grounded? But honestly, the puppets are the stars here. Tunneler popping up from the floor was legit funny/scary, and Leech Woman barfing up leeches was just....yuck! But in a good, gross-out way! I think I even saw one get like...squished on the floor EWWW. I'm kinda glad I didn't eat before watching it, haha. The ending was kinda...abrupt? I'm not sure what happened to all the puppets or the main bad guy. It felt like they just kinda stopped the movie and said 'Okay, we're done!'. But overall, I'd say it's a fun watch if you like low-budget horror with some really creative (and kinda disturbing) puppet designs. Definetly worth the watch to see what all the sequels are about! And OMG I learned there's Twelve sequels?! Gonna need a pallet cleanser after this Anyone else think the puppets were way creepier than they had any right to be, or is that just me?
