"Roger & Me": Still Relevant (Sadly) After All These Years

Alright, movie buffs, let's talk "Roger & Me." Just re-watched this one, and man, it still hits hard. It's a doc about Flint, Michigan, after GM shut down their plant, leaving like, 30,000 people jobless. The whole film is basically Michael Moore trying (and constantly failing) to get an interview with Roger Smith, the CEO of GM at the time. It's infuriating and hilarious at the same time. Like, you just wanna scream at the screen, "GET HIM, MICHAEL!" There are so many quotable moments, but the rabbit lady always sticks with me. "We're not just breeding rabbits, we're breeding hope!" That line, ironically, represents the overall situation perfectly– trying to find a little light in the complete darkness of economic devastation and despair. The parade scenes juxtaposed with evictions? Brutal. And honestly, the fact that it's still so relevant today, with all the corporate greed and plant closings still happening, makes it even sadder. It's like, "History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes," right? I know some people criticize Moore's methods, and fair enough; he's definitely got a style. But you can't deny the impact of this film. It really puts a human face on the consequences of corporate decisions. And I think that's important, even if you don't agree with everything he does. So, what did everyone else think? Any favorite (or most infuriating) moments I missed? Let me know!
