Edward Scissorhands: Did Anyone Else Cry When...?

Okay, so I just finished watching Edward Scissorhands for like the millionth time, and I'm still a MESS. Seriously, the ending gets me every single time. But this time, I had a thought. What if Edward isn't actually making the ice sculptures we see at the end? Like, yeah, the story is that he's up in the mansion, still creating art, but hear me out... What if he's just...sad? Like, eternally sad and lonely because he can't truly connect with anyone without hurting them. Remember how he accidentally cuts Kim? Or how everyone eventually turns on him, even though he was just trying to help? What if the 'ice sculptures' are just his emotions manifesting as snow? The sharper, more jagged the feeling, the heavier the snow that falls on the town. Maybe it's dumb, but I think it makes sense. The snow only started falling after Edward was driven away, right? And honestly, doesn't this make the ending even MORE bittersweet? We’re told he's expressing his love through art, but maybe he's just expressing his pain? Like, the scene where Kim dances in the snow, you can feel how conflicted it is. It's beautiful, yes, but also so incredibly melancholic. Idk. It would be just like Tim Burton to give us the sad snow ending like that. Am I the only one who thinks this? Let me know your thoughts! I need to know I'm not totally out there in left field on this one.
