Godfather III - Worth the Hype? (Family Movie Night Contender?)

Okay, so the kids are finally old enough (I think!) to start exploring some of the classics, and I've been debating Godfather III. I know, I know, it's not as universally loved as the first two, but is it REALLY that bad? I'm thinking of maybe pre-screening it myself before showing it to the family so I know what to expect, but I'm curious what everyone else thinks. I'm mainly concerned about the violence level and any…ahem…adult themes. Are there scenes I should be particularly aware of so I can fast forward or use my parental controls wisely? I remember seeing this years ago and being a bit disappointed, especially with Sofia Coppola's acting as Mary. But honestly, I was probably too young to really appreciate it then. I also keep reading how Michael's guilt and desire for redemption are central themes, which I think could spark some interesting conversations with my older kids about choices and consequences. Plus, the Italy scenery is just beautiful and I'm trying to expose them to different cultures (yes, even if it's through a mafia lens LOL!). Does anyone else feel like the ending is a bit…unsatisfying? Like after all that build-up, it kind of just fizzles out? Also, what's the general consensus on Andy Garcia as Vincent Mancini? I thought he brought some much-needed energy, but was he trying too hard to be Sonny? I'm just trying to manage expectations before diving in. Any thoughts, warnings or words of wisdom are greatly appreciated! Seriously, don't hold back!
