Die Hard 2: Underrated or Nah?

Okay, so I just re-watched Die Hard 2 and I gotta say... it's way better than I remember? Like, I always thought it was just a weaker copy of the original, but seeing McClane dealing with even MORE crap on Christmas Eve? Dude can't catch a break! Plus, William Sadler as Colonel Stuart is actually a pretty solid villain. He's not as iconic as Hans Gruber, obvs, but the whole rogue military angle is kinda cool and the way he just iced the priest in the bell tower was stone cold, lol. I think what gets me is the sheer escalation of everything. In the first movie, it's a building. Here? It's an entire freakin' airport! And the tension just keeps building and building, especially with Holly circling in the air knowing her plane is running out of fuel. That part where McClane has to blow up the plane full of bad guys with the exploding fuel truck? Peak 90s action right there. So crazy and over-the-top, but so damn entertaining. Yeah, the logic is definitely a bit wonky in some places (like, how did those terrorists get all that equipment in the first place?!), and the plot is pretty similar to the first (wrong guy, wrong place, saving the day, etc.). But honestly, I think the action is bigger, the stakes are higher, and Bruce Willis is just as badass. I'm leaning towards underrated at this point. What do you guys think? Anyone else a secret Die Hard 2 fan? Or am I totally alone on this one? Let me know!
