Okay, I Admit It: I Sobbed During "Ghost"

So, I finally caved and watched "Ghost." Yeah, I know, I'm late to the party. Everyone's seen Swayze pottery-making, right? But I avoided it for years because, honestly, supernatural romance? Seemed kinda cheesy. And... okay, it IS cheesy in parts, but I am 100% a convert. Patrick Swayze is just...unfairly handsome. And Demi Moore's hair? Iconic. Honestly, though, who knew pottery could be SO sensual? I nearly bought a wheel after that scene. Nearly. Whoopi Goldberg. Oh. My. God. She basically stole the show. Her performance as Oda Mae Brown? Comedy GOLD. The scene where she gets the check and pretends to faint? I rewound it like five times. But then, the ending? Gut punch. I was a blubbering mess. Like, embarrassing ugly crying. My roommate walked in and was legitimately concerned. Worth it. Look, it's dated. The special effects are... well, they're special, alright. In a 90s kinda way. And the whole 'bank fraud' plot is a little convoluted. But honestly, I was so invested in Sam and Molly's love story, I kinda glossed over the details. It's a testament to the leads that they sold it so well. I still can't fully process the fact that he could only stay because of their love. I am now accepting applications for a boyfriend willing to die for me, but ideally, like, not die? You know? Seriously though, if you're feeling like a good weep and a healthy dose of 90s nostalgia, give "Ghost" a shot. Just have tissues handy. And maybe avoid pottery wheels for a while... unless you're into that kinda sob-fueled artistic expression. No judgements here!
