TREMORS?! Okay, I Was NOT Expecting That!

Alright guys, so I finally took the plunge and watched Tremors (1990). I know, I know, I'm super late to the party. But seriously, where has this movie been all my life?! I went in completely blind, didn't even know the director's name, just knew it was some kind of creature feature. And honestly? I loved it. Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward were amazing as the two handymen, Val and Earl. The back and forth between them was hilarious. I was genuinely invested in their survival, even when I was laughing at how ridiculous the whole "giant worms eating people" thing was. And the creatures themselves? Surprisingly terrifying! The scene where they first realize what's happening, when the road worker gets pulled under? Chills! I was also rooting for Rhonda LeBeck (Finn Carter) because she was one of the few people who actually knew what was going on. She was smart and resourceful, and I wish she had gotten a little more screentime. I loved the practical effects. The monsters looked genuinely scary and believable, which is more than I can say for some of the CGI creatures I've seen in more recent movies. And the whole thing had this great, small-town vibe that just worked. It felt like everyone was genuinely trying to help each other out, even when they were panicking about getting eaten. I'm not saying it's a cinematic achievement or anything. But its really fun and I had a great time! Anyway, thanks for all the recommendations! Keep em coming! What should I watch next from the 80s/90s creature feature vault?
