Kindergarten Cop: Kimble's REAL Mission (Hear Me Out!)
Okay, so, I was rewatching Kindergarten Cop the other night with Sarah and Mark (movie night!), and something struck me. We all know the official plot: Kimble goes undercover to find Dominic's kid and his ex-wife, right? But what if that was ALSO a convenient cover story for something else entirely? I'm thinking, what if Internal Affairs – or some other super secret branch of the police – were actually investigating Kimble himself? I mean, think about it! He's reckless, he's always bending the rules, and he destroys property like it's his job. Sending him undercover as a kindergarten teacher where he's forced to confront his own anger issues and actually learn some patience? It's the perfect way to see if he's actually capable of change and if he's trustworthy enough for the force. The whole Phoebe O'Hara romance plot line is suspect too. Maybe she was an undercover psychologist making assessments on him! I am mostly kidding here... mostly. I know it's a bit out there, but think of the scene where he's talking to the kids about nightmares! He's basically describing his own inner demons, lol. And that whole "It's not a tumor!" scene? Maybe it wasn't just funny, but symbolic. LOL. I really do think the writers left things open enough to suggest he was being studied from the inside out. Anyway, just a thought! What do you guys think? Am I totally off my rocker, or is there something to this? Let me know!
