Cry-Baby: Is Allison Actually Secretly Rebelling the Whole Time?

Okay, so I've been rewatching Cry-Baby (like, a million times, tbh) and it got me thinking... is Allison Vernon-Williams really as innocent as she seems at the start? I mean, yeah, she's got the perfect poodle skirt and pearl necklace, straight-A student vibes going hard. But hear me out. Think about it. She's dating Baldwin, Mr. Square himself. But the second she sees Cry-Baby, BAM! Instant attraction. It's not just his tear (though, let's be real, Depp was 🔥). I think Allison was already done with the whole 'good girl' act. She's practically itching for an excuse to ditch Grandma and get wild. The scene where she first meets Cry-Baby at Turkey Point? She's already smiling like she knows she's about to do something really bad. And the whole chicken scene? Yeah, that's not shock, that's curiosity bordering on excitement! Maybe she sees Cry-Baby as a convenient means to escape the life she never wanted. And let's not forget her grandmother is just the WORST. Like, a caricature of WASP-y perfectionism. Allison's probably been suffocating under that pressure her entire life. So, maybe, just maybe, Allison isn't falling for Cry-Baby so much as she's falling for the idea of not being Allison Vernon-Williams anymore. I think it's a fun theory to toss around! What do you guys think? Am I reaching, or is Allison a secret rebel from the get-go?
