Just watched "Look Who's Talking Too" - Doggone, that was...something! 🤣
Okay, so I ventured into the 90s rom-com world last night with "Look Who's Talking Too." After the first one, I was kinda hooked, ya know? Bruce Willis voicing Mikey again was funny, especially since he's getting older and sassier. But then THEY ADDED A DOG! And Danny DeVito as the dog's voice?! What in the ever-loving-world was happening? I'm not gonna lie, it was a bit much. Like, the premise stretched pretty thin here. I think the whole sibling rivalry thing between Mikey and Julie (the baby) was relatable, even though it's all from a talking baby perspective, which is already off the rails. I did crack up when Julie kept calling James "Jimmy." That was a good running gag. Kirstie Alley was great as always, though. She carries the emotional weight pretty well amidst all the craziness. Honestly, the talking dog thing almost ruined it for me. It felt like they just threw in everything they could think of to make it "bigger" than the first movie. And Gilbert Gottfried as Joey the potty training instructor....wow! I don't know if that was genius or just plain weird LOL. I probably won't rewatch it anytime soon, but I can't say I didn't enjoy parts of it. Maybe my expectations were too high after the first one. What did everyone else think of Rocks the dog!?!? Overall, it's definitely a product of its time. Silly, over-the-top, but kinda charming in its own weird way. I'm still trying to process Danny DeVito barking on screen though. 😳
