Another 48 Hrs: Eddie Murphy's Fast-Talking Saves the Day (Again)!

Okay, so we watched "Another 48 Hrs." last night and honestly? It's...fine. I think the first one has a special place in my heart, but this one was still a fun watch. Eddie Murphy is HILARIOUS as usual, and his chemistry with Nick Nolte is still what makes the whole thing work. I swear, the scene where Reggie tries to get his money back from the biker bar? Comedy GOLD. He's just so quick-witted! I did think the plot was a little convoluted, trying to follow the Ice Man thing. It felt like they just threw a bunch of action sequences together and hoped it would stick. And honestly, Baskin, the female assassin... she was kind of wasted, right? The action scenes she had were cool, but the storyline wasn't developed well. But whatever, you don't really watch these movies for deep storytelling I guess, lol. Overall it was a fun re-watch. If it came on TV I wouldn't change the channel. But would I pay full price at the cinema? Nah. Anyone else feel the same way? Did I miss anything important when I took my bathroom break?
