"Marked for Death" - Voodoo Tech and the Jamaican Mafia's Wild World-Building

Okay, so I watched "Marked for Death" again last night, and I'm convinced this movie is secretly AMAZING because of how batshit crazy its world-building is. Yeah, it's a Seagal flick from '90, so the acting is...well, it's Seagal. But think about it: you've got this retiring DEA agent fighting a Jamaican drug posse led by Screwface (who, by the way, is an iconic villain). Now, that part feels pretty grounded. But here's where it gets interesting. Screwface isn't just a drug lord; he's a voodoo kingpin with some seriously advanced tech for the time. Remember that scene where he uses his 'magic' to see Hatcher through a mirror? Or how about the supposed resurrection later? Come ON! My theory? Screwface's 'voodoo' is actually some kind of super advanced, hidden technology, maybe even psychic amplification equipment disguised as ritualistic stuff. The movie hints at multiple Screwtaces; what if it's cloning tech? I feel like this concept movie gets no credit for its out-there approach. I know, I know, it sounds insane, but think about the implications! This movie implies that there is a whole underground world of covert drug gangs that have access to things that are beyond conventional. And no one even talks about this! Am I the only one who thinks that there is something more to "Marked for Death" than meets the eye? It's not a great movie, but it has the concepts for a really great world-building concept. I'm curious if others have noticed this or if I'm completely off my rocker. Let me know what you guys think!
