There are moments, like when they're experimenting in the lab late at night, that genuinely nail that unsettling 80s horror vibe. The visual gags are so so funny, even if they're also a little disturbing. One scene in particular, a man's severed head growing wings and flying - I mean, that's just insane! It's definitely not high art – let's be real – but Bride of Re-Animator is still endlessly entertaining. The level of gore and dark humor is pretty high, so it's definitely not for the faint of heart. But if you're in the mood for something completely over-the-top and gloriously gross, give it a watch.
