Utah, Get Me Two! (Point Break Discussion)

Alright, alright, alright... Let's talk Point Break. I know, I know, it's a classic, but I honestly think it's aged surprisingly well. Like, the skydiving scenes still give me butterflies, even though I know Keanu's probably harnessed up tighter than a drum. And Bodhi? Forget about it. "Life's an ocean, brah, you gotta learn to ride the wave" - straight up quotable. Seriously though, Swayze just owned that role. What gets me every time is the absurdity of it all. Ex-Presidents robbing banks to fund their endless summer? Come ON. But that's kinda the point, right? It's so over-the-top, it loops back around to being awesome. I mean, the foot chase scene? "I am an F.B.I. agent!" Yeah, Utah, we get it. But you're also kinda falling apart at the seams, dude. Plus, Gary Busey is just... peak Busey in this. Always a pleasure. I do think the ending is a bit weak, ngl. It felt kinda rushed, like they just needed to wrap it all up. But overall, Point Break is a total blast from the past that still holds up. The action is great, the characters are memorable, and the lines are pure gold. "Fear causes hesitation, and hesitation causes your worst fears to come true." True story! Anyone else still rewatching this one on the regular, or am I just stuck in the 90s gnarly?
