OMG, Hot Shots! Just Slays Me 😂

Okay, people, I just watched "Hot Shots!" for like, the millionth time. And I am STILL crying laughing. I know, I know, it's stupid. But that's the point! I'm a sucker for a good spoof, and this one just gets it RIGHT. Val Kilmer as Ice... I mean, "Iceman"... I mean, "Kent Gregory" (lol!), is PERFECTION. Every single line delivery is just, chef's kiss. And Charlie Sheen as Topper Harley? Don't even get me STARTED. The romance with Ramada Thompson (Cary Elwes is EVERYTHING!) is so ridiculous, it's beautiful. The scene where they're making out and the random objects are flying between them and then that one dude appears out of nowhere playing the saxophone... I can't. I seriously had to pause the movie because I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. And the volleyball scene?! Forget "Top Gun", THIS is iconic. My only complaint? Maybe a little too many fart jokes? But honestly, I can forgive it. I know it's not exactly high art, but sometimes you just need a movie that's pure, unadulterated silliness. And "Hot Shots!" delivers on that front in spades. If you are having just a bad day this will make you feel so good. I love it, even if it's a little dumb! And the sequel is just as good, don't @ me! Seriously, if you need a good laugh, go watch "Hot Shots!". You can thank me later! 💖
