Okay, "JFK" was... a LOT
So I finally watched "JFK" (the long one!). I knew it was about the Kennedy assassination, but I didn't realize just how much of a deep dive it would be. Honestly, my brain kind of hurt by the end. It's super dense with all the conspiracy stuff, like everyone is suspect! Kevin Costner as Jim Garrison does a pretty good job as the determined DA, even if he does look confused a lot. He's got that serious face down pat, though. I gotta say, the best part was probably the acting. Tommy Lee Jones as Clay Shaw was CREEPY good. Like, I wouldn't want to meet that guy in a dark alley. And Joe Pesci? Always entertaining. But sometimes it felt like they threw every actor they could find in there. The whole thing felt a bit overdramatic at times, especially when Garrison is giving these big speeches. Still, for a movie that's like 3 hours long, it kept me engaged pretty well. I mean, who doesn't like a good conspiracy theory? I'm not sure I actually believe everything in the movie, but it definitely makes you think. It throws so much information at you that you just kinda have to go with it. It's a total rollercoaster of 'wait, what?' moments. And honestly, even if some of it's a bit far-fetched, it's still entertaining. Just make sure you have snacks and maybe a Wikipedia tab open, LOL. Overall, I'd say it was worth watching just for the sheer audacity of the whole thing. It's definitely not a light, fluffy Sunday afternoon movie, but if you're looking for something that'll keep you thinking long after the credits roll, give "JFK" a shot (no pun intended...okay, maybe a little). Just be prepared to pause it a few times to catch your breath!
