Child's Play 3: Was the Crayon Scene ACTUALLY Foreshadowing?
Okay, so I'm rewatching "Child's Play 3" (yeah, I know, I know, it's def the weakest link), and something just hit me. Remember the scene where Chucky tries to transfer his soul into Tyler with the voodoo chant? The one where Tyler's coloring with crayons and almost finishes before Shelton interrupts? Well, what if... HOLD UP... what if the COLOR of the crayon Tyler was using was actually foreshadowing something about the rest of the freaking series?! Like, I know, it sounds crazy, but hear me out. He's using a RED crayon, right? What if that was a subtle hint that Tyler was always meant to be connected to Chucky and bloodshed later on in the series? I mean, the kid shows up again in "Seed of Chucky" as Glen/Glenda's brother/sister! Maybe Chucky's messed-up voodoo or whatever didn't completely fail in "Child's Play 3", and a little piece of Chucky's essence latched onto Tyler, making him extra susceptible to the whole 'being a possessed doll's sibling' thing. It could explain why he was so chill with Glen/Glenda from the start. I know most people hate on "Child's Play 3", but I actually think it has some interesting stuff going on if you look close enough (or maybe I'm just reaching REALLY hard because I'm bored lol). And let's be honest, the military school setting was kinda cool. Overall I think it's the plot hole that ruins it, specifically the fact that his soul needs to go into a human! Like what was he doing with his soul from 1988 - 1991? The crayon scene is definitely something worth talking about though. Thoughts?
