"The Fisher King" - Anyone else think this movie is criminally underrated?

Alright, so I just re-watched "The Fisher King" and man, this film STILL hits hard. I know it's not your typical explosions-and-car-chases flick, but damn, the emotional impact is like a sledgehammer to the face. I always thought Robin Williams was GREAT at balancing the comedy with the more intense, dramatic parts. Like, the whole Red Knight sequence is visually stunning, but the way it also represents Parry's trauma...brilliant. It's like the director combined fantasy and reality in a fantastic way. Anyone know who directed this, BTW? I can't seem to recall, but the visuals were amazing! Jeff Bridges is also rock solid as the shock jock trying to redeem himself. His descent into self loathing feels incredibly real, and then his awkwardness with Amanda Plummer's character is both funny and kinda sweet. I'm thinking about it and It's a very character-driven film. I really can't think of any other films where the two leads play their roles as brilliantly. But what I'm really curious about is this: does anyone else think the ending feels a little... rushed? Like, they find the grail, Parry snaps out of it (sort of), and then BAM, happy ending. I get it, we want them to be okay, but I almost feel like the journey was more compelling than the destination. I dunno, maybe it's just me wanting more time with these characters. What do you guys think about it? What was your favorite part when you saw it, or re-watched it? Also, unrelated, but anyone know if they actually built those practical miniatures for the Red Knight scenes or was it all CGI? It had a very realness kind of feel to those sequence. If so, that's insane work!
