Okay, "Regarding Henry" Officially Made Me CRY ðŸ˜
So, I just finished watching "Regarding Henry" (1991), and wow, did it hit me hard. I knew going in it was about a lawyer who gets shot and loses his memory, but I wasn't prepared for the emotional JOURNEY. Like, Harrison Ford playing a totally ruthless, kind of awful guy to start? I was so ready to dislike him! Then BAM, everything changes. Watching him try to relearn everything, especially how to be a decent human being...oof, my heart! There's this scene where he's trying to tie his shoes, and Annette Bening (his wife in the movie) is trying to help him, but he gets frustrated and pushes her away. But then, like, five minutes later, he's trying again, and you can just see the determination on his face and she just smiles at him and...I'm tearing up just thinking about it again! And his daughter, Rachel (Mikki Allen), too! She was so good at seeing through his BS even before the accident, and then she's so patient and loving after. It's really the kind of family support everyone dreams of having. I'm not gonna lie, the movie definitely has some cheesy moments, and maybe it's a little TOO convenient how becoming a 'new' person makes him automatically good. But, honestly? I was too busy crying to care. Sometimes you just need a movie that pulls at your heartstrings, you know? I wasn't expecting much, thought it was a standard drama but I was so wrong! It actually made me think about second chances and if people are really capable of change. I am not sure if it's my favorite movie ever but I will be thinking about this one for quite some time. Has anyone else seen this? What did you think? Am I totally overreacting, or did it make you feel things too? Let me know!
