Paprika (1991): A Spicy Retro Throwback... kinda?

Alright, GenX movie lovers, moviebuff_marc here. I just stumbled across Paprika from '91 (the OTHER Paprika, before that anime mind-bender!) and...wow. Okay, first off, the plot. Mimma, bless her heart, ends up in a brothel called, uh, Madame Colette’s. That’s already setting off some serious Pretty Woman vibes, right? Only, dialed up a few notches and seasoned with, well, paprika. She becomes 'Paprika' (duh) and hooks up with a naval officer, Franco. There's a definite European feel to the whole thing, like something you'd find channel surfing late night and being slightly embarrassed to admit you were watching.
