Is Oscar (1991) COMPLETELY Underrated, or Just Me?

Okay, folks, Priya here! So, I was watching 'Oscar' (1991) the other night – the one with Sylvester Stallone playing a gangster trying to go straight. It's... quirky, to say the least. Angelo 'Snaps' Provolone, what a name, lol! Seriously, I think it's got some genuinely hilarious moments, especially the whole mistaken identity thing with the bags of money and the jewelry. Like, who hasn't accidentally ended up with the wrong luggage at some point? Okay, maybe that only happens in movies... But, I'm wondering if I'm alone in thinking this movie is kinda genius? It's not trying to be 'Godfather' or anything, it's just pure, silly fun. Marisa Tomei is incredible as Snaps' daughter, and that scene where she's trying to explain her situation? Comedy gold. Some of the supporting cast are amazing, too. I really liked the guy playing Aldo, the accountant. He's consistently funny. You know, it's not winning any Oscars (pun intended!), but it's a great example of slapstick done reasonably well. I'm not saying it's perfect, but do you all think it gets way too much hate? Or is it just me clinging to some nostalgic fondness for a silly 90s comedy? I mean, I can see why some people might not get it, but sometimes you just need a good laugh, right? Let me know your thoughts! Am I missing something? There's a lot of cinema in the world, but sometimes a film is just comfort viewing. And seriously, who directed this thing? IMDb is being vague! I'm so curious. Did they do other comedies and should I avoid them?
