Oscar (1991): Just Watched It - What a Wild Ride!

Okay, so last night's movie night pick was Oscar with Sly Stallone. I gotta admit, I wasn't expecting much, but it actually ended up being hilarious in a totally over-the-top way. Like, the whole 'Snaps' Provolone trying to go legit for his dad but EVERYTHING going wrong... pure comedic gold. Especially when he's trying to keep track of all the mistaken identities and who's engaged to who. My head was spinning just watching it, I can't imagine living it! The scene where Oscar is trying to figure out who stole his money is absolutely insane. The back and forth, the frantic energy... it's so chaotic, but in the best way possible! And Ornella Muti as Sofia Provolone? Stunning! Her quick wit and sass just added another layer of fun. I'm not sure how historically accurate it is, but that wasn't the point. I was honestly surprised by how much I laughed. It's definitely not a movie you analyze deeply, lol, but it's perfect for a lighthearted evening with friends. I was laughing so hard I almost choked on a popcorn kernel. Anyone else seen it? What did you guys think? Did you find it as ridiculously funny as I did, or am I just easily amused? Also, I just realized, they never really explain what job Oscar did to become so wealthy. The life of crime? I'm probably just overthinking it. Haha!
