King Ralph: Hear me out... Is it secretly AWESOME?

Okay, okay, before you all roast me hotter than John Goodman in a Buckingham Palace sauna, hear me out. "King Ralph." Yeah, I know, it's goofy, it's cheesy, it's about as far from 'Die Hard' as you can get. But… I kinda love it? I'm not saying it's, like, a cinematic triumph, but Goodman is genuinely hilarious, and there's something weirdly charming about seeing him completely trash royal traditions. Remember that dinner scene where he's chugging from the finger bowl and belting out "Good Golly Miss Molly"? Comedy gold! And while it ain't got explosions or car chases, seeing him struggle to ride that horse was a stunt in itself, right? Dude looked genuinely terrified. But my BIG question is, does anyone else think Peter O'Toole was giving this his all? He's playing the straight man but you can see a twinkle in his eye. I think he knew exactly what kind of movie he was in and he was having a blast. I mean he has to teach this total slob how to be a King? So did ANYONE think this was good or am I totally alone on this one? I like to think I have some taste in movies!
