F/X2: Rollie's Wardrobe Transition is WILD

Okay, so I just re-watched F/X2 and I have SO many thoughts. The plot is bonkers – ex-cop asks Rollie for help, things go completely sideways, giant illusion at the end… you know the drill. But can we talk about Rollie's glow-up? In the first F/X, he’s very much a behind-the-scenes, jeans-and-t-shirt kinda guy. Functional, right? But in F/X2, he's rocking these amazing sweaters. Seriously, that chunky knit he's wearing when he's making toys? I need it. And the leather jacket? Upgrade! I'm assuming he's making a killing on the toys now. Then there's Kim, his girlfriend. Her wardrobe is pretty low-key, but chic, for a modern artist. Practical, comfortable and stylish. Not sure about the whole cop ex-husband drama thing, but I dig her vibe. I will say, the scene in the restaurant where Rollie's trying to explain the whole situation with Mike? Peak awkward. And then the assassination attempt?! I give her credit for not losing it more. Honestly, beyond the plot holes you could drive a truck through (like, WHO hired the assassin??) the movie is entertaining. And the special effects, even now, hold up reasonably well. Especially that ending with the warehouse illusion. It's a bit dated, sure, but you have to admire Rollie's ingenuity--and his updated wardrobe. I do wonder how he affords it all after being nearly bankrupted in FX. Did he invent the next Teddy Ruxpen or something? Anyway, anyone else notice the costume shift? Thoughts? Am I just overly focused on knitwear from the early 90s? Probably. Haha.
