Just Watched Aladdin AGAIN - Did Anyone Else Notice This?

Okay, so I know, I know, Aladdin is a classic. I've seen it like, a million times since I was a kid. But honestly, every time I watch it, I catch something new. This time, it was Jafar's obsession with power. Like, we know he wants to be the Sultan, obviously, but the way he's constantly manipulating Iago and even the Sultan in that hypnotic snake staff scene is just... chilling. And the subtlety! I never really appreciated how much of a long game he was playing. It's not just about grabbing the lamp, it's about dismantling the system from the inside. Evil genius stuff, honestly. And speaking of Iago, can we talk about Gilbert Gottfried's performance? Seriously, iconic. Every line is just dripping with snark and cynicism. The little details he adds to Iago's personality, like when he mimics the Sultan's sneeze or when he's complaining about the heat... genius! I always thought he was just a funny sidekick, but he's actually a really complex character (well, as complex as a parrot can be, lol). I'm convinced that he knows Jafar is bad news, but he's too motivated by power to care; he's more worried about being the top bird, right? Also, did anyone else notice how little Jasmine actually gets to do in the first half? She's mostly just reacting to things, being saved by Aladdin, and defying her father. It's not until she stands up to Jafar after he already has all the power that she really comes into her own and becomes this powerful force. That whole 'By Allah, I will expose you!' scene gives me chills every time. Maybe it's just the voice acting, but it's so powerful! I'm not saying it's a perfect movie (the songs, while amazing, do kinda halt the plot sometimes), but the sheer amount of detail packed into this thing is insane. Seriously, rewatch it, you'll find something new, I promise!
