Death Becomes Her - Forever Funny (literally)

Okay, people, let's talk Death Becomes Her! Hear me out: This movie is comedy GOLD. Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn are absolute perfection as Madeline Ashton and Helen Sharp, respectively. Like, the sheer pettiness and rivalry they bring...it's iconic. You know, 'Now, a warning? Where's the fun in that?' Classic. Bruce Willis as Ernest Menville is just the right amount of pathetic and hen-pecked, which makes it all the more hilarious. I mean, the dude is literally fixing the living undead at one point! The special effects, even though they're dated now, STILL hold up! When Madeline's head swivels around backward? I gasped the first time I saw it, and I still get a kick out of it. And Helen with that HUGE hole in her stomach? So gruesome but somehow, still funny because it's so over-the-top. The scene in the emergency room where they're both trying to keep it together and stitch themselves up while bickering? Priceless. I honestly think this movie is so quotable. I always find myself saying "Well, now you know. The secret to eternal life. I’m sure you’ll put it to good use.” in the most random situations. Anyone else find themselves doing this? It’s one of those movies you can watch a million times and still laugh just as hard. Maybe it's because it just lays bare the ridiculousness of vanity and aging. Anyway, is it a cinematic masterpiece? Maybe not. But does it bring endless entertainment and quotable moments? Absolutely. Highly recommend if you need some laughs and don't mind a little dark humor. What scenes are your favorites? Let me know!
