You knew they were both using each other, but there was this weird grudging respect that developed. The scene where they're arguing after losing their initial winnings, it was electric. They're both furious, but you can see that they kind of get each other, too. It wasn't just about the money, it was about proving themselves. And Rosie Perez? What a powerhouse. Gloria's ambition and intelligence were such a great counterpoint to Billy's gambling and Sidney's...well, everything. The whole 'Jeopardy!' subplot was a stroke of genius. It gave her character depth beyond just being the girlfriend. And let's be real, sometimes I was rooting for her to ditch Billy and find someone who valued her brain!
