Just Watched "A River Runs Through It" - Okay, That Was...Beautiful?
Alright guys, so I finally caved and watched "A River Runs Through It." I know, I know, I'm super late to the party. Honestly, I just thought it was gonna be some boring old movie about fishing. I was partly right, but also SO wrong. Like, the scenery alone? Montana is absolutely STUNNING. I kinda wanna learn how to fly fish now, even though I'm pretty sure I'd just end up tangled in the line. I didn't know who the director was, but whoever that guy is, he knew exactly what he was doing with the camera. Anyway, the story itself was actually really touching. I loved the dynamic between the brothers, Paul and Norman. You could tell they were tight, but also totally different. Paul, the wild one, was super compelling, even though he was clearly heading for trouble (no spoilers, but yikes!). It felt really... personal, somehow. I got weirdly invested in their family even though they were nothing like mine. I did find some bits a little slow, especially in the beginning, but overall, it was surprisingly good. I'm not gonna lie, the ending hit me harder than I was expecting. Maybe it's just because I'm getting old and sentimental, lol. I'd definitely recommend giving it a watch, especially if you're into beautiful scenery and stories about family. What did you guys think? Was I the only one who teared up a bit? I'm feeling weird about tearing up over a movie about fishing!
