Fortress (1992): Anyone else notice...?

Okay, so I've seen Fortress like...a million times. It's one of those guilty pleasures, you know? Cheesy 90s sci-fi action. But I swear, every time I watch it, I notice something new. This time, it was the InteliCorp director, Poe's, motivations! He is super extra about Karen. I mean, yeah, she's carrying John's kid, and John's kinda a bad ass, but Poe seems almost OBSESSED. Like, more than just wanting to control the genetically superior baby. Anyone else get weird vibes between them? Maybe some backstory they left out or something? I know it's a dumb movie, but it's been bugging me. And while I'm here, is it just me, or is the 'intestinazer' the most ridiculous prison weapon of all time? Like, who came up with that? LOL! It's so over-the-top, it's hilarious. What's your favorite awful/amazing part of Fortress?
