Okay, "Fear City: A Family-Style Comedy" - WHAT WAS THAT?!

Okay, so I just finished watching "Fear City: A Family-Style Comedy" (yes, THAT title), and I'm… honestly, I'm a little all over the place. Like, the CONCEPT is hilarious, right? A terrible horror movie accidentally getting into Cannes and then the projectionist getting offed before every showing is just... bananas. And usually, I'm all about that kind of dark humor. But something about it just felt... I don't know, icky? Maybe it's the way they handled the actual violence. It felt almost... flippant? Like they didn't really care about the projectionists, they were just props for the sake of the joke. And then there's the title! I am not sure if the "comedy" part makes the movie more deranged, or less. Anyone else see this? Am I being too sensitive? Did anyone actually laugh during the hammer and sickle scenes? Should I watch it again? I'll also be seeing a shrink after this. I'm not sure if its a good bad or an insane bad?
