Meet the Fockers: Still Funny After All These Years?
Okay, so I just rewatched "Meet the Parents" (2000) with my friends, and I gotta say, it still cracks me up! I know, I know, it's like, a classic, but some comedies just don't age well, ya know? But Ben Stiller's awkwardness as Greg Focker is timeless. 😅 My question for you guys is: what's the funniest scene? For me, it's gotta be either the volleyball game (Robert De Niro's face the entire time is GOLD) or when Greg accidentally paints the cat. Poor Jinx! I always feel bad for the cat but I CAN'T help but laugh. Also, what's with Jack Byrnes being SO SUSPICIOUS?! Was he like, actually a good CIA agent or just a paranoid weirdo? I'm leaning towards paranoid weirdo. And does anyone else think that Pam's sister, Debbie, got off way too easy after ruining her own wedding cake? Like, Greg gets blamed for literally everything, but Debbie's just... forgiven? Justice for Focker! Anyway, let me know your thoughts! Still love the movie or is it just nostalgia goggles for me?
