Nobody Does it Like Leone (Even When it's Not *Really* Leone)

Okay, so I finally got around to watching "My Name Is Nobody" and WOW. I know, I know, I'm late to the party. I'd heard whispers about it forever – the 'unofficial' Leone western, right? I was expecting something trying to be a Sergio Leone film, but it really works as its own thing, even though Leone had a hand in the direction. It's got that familiar epic Western vibe, but like, playfully poking fun at it at the same time? I especially loved Terence Hill as Nobody. The dude just oozes charisma, and he's so mischievous! Like, his whole goal is to get Jack Beauregard (Henry Fonda, absolute legend) to go out in this blaze of glory. The scene with the Wild Bunch riding through the desert is iconic, and then the whole shootout at the end? *chef's kiss* I honestly got choked up a little bit. Beauregard FINALLY gets his moment, and Nobody orchestrates it all. So good! It walks a tightrope between comedy and serious Western, which could've gone SO wrong, but it totally nails it. Morricone's score is, obviously, banger after banger. And the cinematography is just beautiful. Some of those landscape shots are breathtaking. I still don’t understand why I kept putting it off. Anyone else a big fan? What are your fave moments? I'm dying to hear if anyone else had the same reaction. It definently hit that itch I get from spaghetti westerns. Highly recommend if you haven't seen it. I'd put it right up there with some of the classics, maybe even *better* than some of Leone's later stuff (don't @ me!).
