Okay, "The Holy Mountain"... I Have Thoughts. Many Thoughts.

Alright, so I just finished watching "The Holy Mountain" and...wow. Just wow. I'm not even sure where to begin. This movie is like a fever dream you can't shake off, even after the credits roll. I went in knowing basically nothing, just that it was weird and visually stunning, and *boy* did it deliver on that promise. Honestly, I'm still processing everything I just saw. I saw a group of people representing the planets, and, like, I just saw a bunch of weird stuff happen. lol There are scenes that are burned into my brain forever. The Tower of Tarot cards collapsing, the crucified toads (I actually gasped out loud), the bizarre political commentary disguised as pure surrealism... it's all just so much. It's beautiful and grotesque, profound and utterly ridiculous, all at the same time. And I'm not gonna lie, some of it made me SUPER uncomfortable. Like, the animal stuff? Really got to me. But even though I was squirming sometimes, I couldn't look away. I'm not even sure I *liked* it, in the traditional sense. It's not exactly a feel-good movie, you know? But I definitely respect it. It's challenging, thought-provoking, and undeniably unique. I saw someone describing it as an assault on the senses, and yeah, that's pretty accurate. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you're looking for something that will completely mess with your head in the best (and worst) ways possible, give it a shot. So, yeah, that's my initial reaction. Has anyone else seen this movie? I'd love to hear your thoughts, because honestly, I need to talk about it. Seriously, what *was* that ending?! My brain hurts in the best way! I'm still not sure if I regret watching it, but I'm definitely glad I did. And I think this will stay with me for a looooong time. Maybe I should look into the director's other stuff... oh god. Wish me luck!
