TPD2: Okay, I need to talk about Chris Pine!

Okay, so last night we watched "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement" (duh!), and I have THOUGHTS. First of all, I know it's cheesy and predictable, but there's something SO comforting about this movie? Like, it's a warm hug in cinematic form. Plus, Genovia is everything I want in a vacation destination... and wardrobe! BUT... the real reason for this post: CHRIS PINE. Seriously, who knew he could be so charming as Nicholas? He's the perfect antagonist-turned-love-interest, and the scene where they're dancing at the state ball, and he tells her he's resigning...ugh, my heart! I honestly think he and Anne Hathaway had amazing chemistry. Way better than with Michael from the first movie, sorry not sorry. Anyway, even though I know Mia is obligated to marry someone of royalty, do you think she and Nicholas would have worked out long-term if things weren't so complicated with the Genovian law? I'm kind of on the fence. He was clearly playing a game for a while, even if he did eventually fall for her. And that 'earthquake' kiss?? Come on, so good! What did you guys think? And one more thing – Am I the only one who thinks that coronation ceremony went like, WAY too smoothly afer all that hassle from Viscount Mabrey? Like, they spent so long building that up and then BAM! Over. It just felt rushed, maybe? Thoughts?
