Wedding Crashers...uh, is it ACTUALLY good?

Okay, so I finally gave in and watched Wedding Crashers (2005). I kept hearing about it as like, peak comedy, but it's kind of older now and I wasn't sure what to expect. Honestly, some of it had me cracking up, especially Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn's chemistry. They were riffing off each other so well. The whole funeral scene at Sack Lodge? Savage. But like, the whole "crashing weddings to hook up with women" thing feels kinda...icky? I get it's the premise, but at times it felt a little TOO objectifying, you know? Isla Fisher was hilarious as the stage-five clinger, but her character also felt a little...one-dimensional? Maybe that's just the humor of the time period. Christopher Walken showing up was a total 'WTF' moment, though. And the whole Claire (Rachel McAdams) storyline... idk. It felt so contrived. Like, John (Owen Wilson) went from being a total player to suddenly wanting serious commitment overnight. Was I the only one who thought that felt rushed and not super believable? The paintball part was kinda cute though. Overall, I laughed a lot, but also felt a bit weirded out at parts. Is this movie actually as amazing as everyone says, or am I just viewing it through a modern lens? What did you guys think of the morality aspect of the movie? Am I being too sensitive or are those takes fair?
